NetThing 2021

NetThing is Australia’s Internet ­­­­­Governance Forum, an annual event bringing together a diverse multidisciplinary community for the discussion of policy issues pertaining to the internet and technology in Australia.

NetThing is an open and inclusive platform providing the opportunity to explore relevant topics, hear from a range of perspectives, and mobilise the community to collaborate on solutions. 

Event Summary 

The 2021 NetThing Forum took place online on Thursday 4 and Friday 5 November 2021 and focussed on a metanarrative of ‘Building Bridges', a theme which encompasses all that NetThing stands for and hopes to achieve. 

Under this broad theme, four topics were chosen: health, inclusion, environment, and trust. These  formed the basis of all sessions, helping to create a cohesive event which took on topics relevant to Australia's current internet and social climate.
